Apple's Do Not Disturb Feature in iOS 6 Fails To Turn Off Automatically On New Year

You might be busy in wishing everyone Happy new year, but today something unusual happened due to which Apple’s Do Not Disturb feature failed to turn OFF automatically on the day of new year. Although this issue is not being reported by everyone on their iOS devices on iOS 6, however some including us have experienced in at least one of our iDevice.

Do Not Disturb was introduced by Apple as a feature on iOS 6 which temporarily disables the sound of notifications and calls for a scheduled time. And that scheduled time is decided by the owner of the device from the Settings application. On the other hand, Alarm alerts remains active even on the Do Not Disturb mode, so you don’t need to worry about this glitch.

If you have been worried about why the notification sound for calls and other notification is not working for you, you should checkout the Do Not Disturb mode from settings.app. Just turn it OFF manually if it hasn’t been turned OFF or extended from the scheduled time.
